Danseklubben Salsakompaniet is a non-profit oranization with the purpose to spread latin dance, music and culture. We are part of Norges Danseforbund and we offer dance courses, shows, events, company offers, private classes, festivals, competitions and more. Salsakompaniet was founded in 1999 by Jazzy Ruiz, who is our main instructor and artistic director. The organisation has grown from 100 to over 2000 students in our classes, which makes us the largest salsa and latin dance organization in Norway. 

One of the main reasons for our growth is our focus in quality. All our classes are build on dance pedagogic principles and the school has highly educated as well as some of the worlds most acknowledged salsa dancers. Our instructor/trainer team represents Norway abroad on international salsa congresses, in world championships and as choreographers and dancers in known TV-productions such as:

NORGES DANSEFORBUND

NORGES DANSEFORBUND - danseklubben salsakompaniet

Salsakompaniet has been an active member of the Norwegian Dance Federation (Norges Danseforbund) since 2017. The Norwegian Dance Federation's activity is based on the values of ​​dance joy and unity. We in Salsakompaniet participate in the Norwegian Championships and represent Norway in the World Championship through the Norwegian Dance Federation, and we arrange events such as NM in 2019 and other dance events for ND.
The Norwegian Dance Federation works, among other things, to spread Salsa in Norway, and our main instructor Jazzy Ruiz travels to various clubs to spread Salsa and latin culture for the Norwegian Dance Federation.

In October 2018, Jazzy Ruiz & Erica Rodriguez (our main instructors) represented Norway in the World Championships in Salsa through the Norwegian Dance Federation and took silver and 2nd place only after two participations in the World Championships.
This is a historic event for Norway and Salsa, and we are grateful to the Norwegian Dance Federation who support us in growing the environment and spreading the dance.
